mail-quote-region

Quote the current region or paragraph for email.  Ctrl-c >

This command inserts a > character before each line in the current paragraph, quoting it for email. When a region is highlighted, it instead inserts a > character before each line in the region. The actual text inserted comes from the mail-quote-text variable.
