Documentation Enhancements in Epsilon 10

Epsilon comes with complete documentation, all of which you can read online in a variety of formats, or on the web.
Web Browser
You can read the complete Epsilon manual with your web browser. Type F1 H to start your web browser along with a local docserver. It all runs on your local machine, so you do not need internet access to read the manual with your web browser.

But in addition, the complete Epsilon manual is available from our web site. Point your web browser to

http://www.lugaru.com/man.html

for the latest, up-to-date version of Epsilon documentation.

Info Mode
The complete Epsilon manual is included in Gnu Info format, and Epsilon includes a complete Info viewer, so you can read the manual from within Epsilon. There are several entry points into the Info documentation:

F1 F
prompts for search text and searches for that text in the index, going to the first matching topic. Just press <Enter> to jump to the Epsilon section of the info tree.

F1 Ctrl-c
prompts for a command name (with completion of course), then jumps to the documentation for that command.

F1 Ctrl-k
jumps to the documentation for a particular key.

F1 Ctrl-v
jumps to the documentation for a particular variable.

The Info subsystem has many subcommands for perusing the documentation. You can read about it using Info itself. Type F1 I H.

WinHelp
The complete Epsilon manual in WinHelp format is included for Windows platforms. Press F1 W to see it.

PDF
The Epsilon CD-ROM contains the complete printed version of the Epsilon manual in PDF format. Use your favorite PDF viewer to view or print out sections of the manual for your own use while away from the computer.
