Language-Specific Enhancements in Epsilon 12
Epsilon includes new modes for the
PHP and VHDL programming
languages, as well as Windows/DOS batch files.
Many existing modes have been enhanced:
- HTML mode
- now supports embedded PHP code,
and adds an html-find-matching-tag command on the Alt-= key;
it jumps to the start tag matching the current end tag and back.
Support for all types of embedded scripting has been enhanced in many
ways.
- C# mode
- now recognizes the syntax of
verbatim strings, along with other changes.
- GAMS mode
- has many enhancements,
including recognizing various sorts of directives that change
commenting rules, and specific syntax highlighting rules for many
data-defining keywords.
- Asm mode
- now handles comment blocks, and
specially highlights various directives.
- Makefile mode
- now understands
conditionals that use MKS Make syntax.
- Perl mode
- now includes a perldoc
command for reading Perl documentation, as well as other enhancements.
The perldoc command runs an external program named perldoc,
similar to Epsilon's man command.
- TeX mode
- has various enhancements, among
them a change to the jump-to-dvi command so it now works with
more DVI viewers like xdvi and yap.
Modes for PostScript and
Visual Basic have also been enhanced. For
Java, the next-error command can now search for source files
using the CLASSPATH.
