Epsilon User's Manual and Reference > Variable Reference >

wrap-grep: preference variable

Default value: 3

When you use the grep command to list matches in files, Epsilon normally sets the current window to horizontally scroll long lines, so that long lines in the grep listing each occupy a single screen line. Set this variable to 1 to have it set the current window to wrap long lines instead of scrolling them. Set it to 2 to maintain the current window's setting for wrapping versus horizontally scrolling, or 0 always to force scrolling.

The default setting 3 makes Epsilon force horizontal scrolling except when the default behavior for windows has been set to wrap, in which case it maintains the current window's setting.
